
Barberry (barberis concord)
The Concord has oval colorful leaves and small yellow flowers which appear in clusters in late April and are succeeded by bright red berries that can be appreciated after the leaves drop in autumn. The first flush of new growth on the "Concord" is a deep velvety purple. The leaves turn dark red in summer and hold that color both in sunny and lightly shaded locations. Decideous.
