Green Emerald Ficus (ficus microcarpa)
Also known as Green Island Ficus. Has oval to roundish dark green shiny leaves. Easily forms rosetts at the end of it's branches if kept trimmed. Branches and fruits well and develops aerial roots when kept humid. Different than other Ficus varieties in that the leaves are much thicker. Does well in lower, medium or high lighting conditions. European Beech (fagus sylvatica) - Sale Price: $250Naturally low branched tree with attractive glossy green ovate leaves which look similar in appearance to those of a Hornbeam. Variable leaves that are generally a bit wider than Japanese Beech. Smooth silvery-gray bark is quite ornamental. The bark looks like elephant skin on older specimens. The wood is almost white and is used most often in toys and furniture. The most distinctive feature of the Beech is its unmistakable cigar-shaped buds. These buds are rather tender. Natures way of protecting these buds is for the Beech to retain its dead leaves throughout winter. Decideous. Japanese Five Needle Pine(pinus parvifolia) - Sale Price: $195This Japanese White Pine is the most commonly used Pine for bonsai in Japan. It is an evergreen with very short stiff needles forming blue/green tufts of foliage at the branch tips creating an overall fine texture to the tree silhouette.
